We got together with some other moms and babies we met at the hospital and walked together for the March of Dimes. I’d never done it before and now it had special meaning since Felix was born more than a month early! (You never expect to have your baby early and in the NICU, hooked up to all those wires and unable to come home with you.)  Obviously he’s doing great now, so we’re walking to benefit other babies!

The route was 8.6 miles long and took us about four hours to walk. It was quite the adventure with 7-9 month olds but we had a great time and were just thankful we got to the finish in time to eat lunch. We found a quieter spot in the park and had a celebratory picnic.

[Editor’s note: We’re walking again this year, March 23, 2013. Please consider donating to our team!]

How cute is that? :)

Awww

Felix got to attend his first wedding today for Alex and Anna at Sweetwater Branch Inn. We didn’t get many photos, but he was a very well-behaved guest.

[Note: Yes, Felix looks a lot younger here…this is the first of many catch-up posts to get through the photo backlog. Get ready for some Felix emails this month!]

Trey is Felix’s little bestie at daycare these days. They hang out together all day long!

Now the grocery store is even more fun – Felix is big enough to ride in the cart all by himself!

Wheeee! Look at me!

You mean we get to take all this home with us?

Going to the grocery store with Felix used to be stressful when he was little, but now he loves to go shopping with us.

Met up with a few other families/babies from the old hospital group at Possum Creek park. It was a sunny but cold, windy day. Felix was cozy in his warm jacket with the cute ears though.

Wheeeeeee!!!

On New Year’s Day we took Felix out for his first round of disc golf. As usual, he was very well behaved and enjoyed watching from his stroller for the first nine and then slept soundly through the back nine.

So is it my turn on the pad or what?

Felix was kind enough to let us grab a beer and catch up with some friends at the local brewery after work one night. He likes to be in the carrier with dad and was very well behaved. Lots of shiny things to look at!

Look out - this is what too much beer can do to you! haha (Greg likes this pic that happened to catch a big spit up right as it is exiting...as usual, Felix doesn't even seem to notice.)
