Felix and I have a mommy workout group/playdate we attend every Saturday now, and last week they organized a photographer to come out to the park with us and take Valentine photos. Too cute not to post! Happy Valentine’s Day everyone…
This is Felix’s 2nd Christmas and the 1st time we get to celebrate in Gainesville. We’ve always been off visiting relatives. It’s fun to be with family but it’s also nice to climb out of your own bed and celebrate at your own place. It was really special to decorate the house, watch him play with his presents and think ahead to many happy holidays here to come. Felix didn’t quite get the paper unwrapping part, but he did enjoy playing with every gift he received. After a morning at home we headed to grandpa/ma Brix’s house for Christmas dinner and their first Christmas living in Gainesville.
Checking out a new book. He took time to play with every present he opened before moving to the next.
[Editor’s note: I’ve been trying to post pictures on this blog in order, but as you all can tell I’m a bit behind. However, today is Felix’s birthday and I wanted everyone to see some pictures of the birthday boy! I will try to get back to filling in the rest of the photos soon.]
Happy birthday Felix! It is so hard to believe a whole year has passed by already. It is amazing how far you have come and how much you have grown. You are becoming a happy, curious little boy and are no longer a little baby anymore. Mom and Dad love you very much!
We drove to Ponte Vedra Beach for the day to join the rest of the Fazenbaker/Norenberg/Garcia clan (plus cousin Charlie) for Felix’s first Christmas. He was a little overwhelmed at times by all of the attention from his five cousins, but for the most part he had a fun day opening presents (a.k.a. crinkling paper) and being passed around. He also finally got to meet uncle Eric – the last immediate family member who hadn’t seen him yet. Merry Christmas!
A mom I met through the hospital postpartum lunches (whose husband works for the same company as Greg, coincidentally) hosted a fun potluck baby holiday party. After lunch we got together for some chaotic group photos…moms first, then dads.
We were invited to a Christmas cookie & ornament exchange with some mommies & babies from the hospital group. Yummy treats and an opportunity for some cute group photos!
